01 One culture, batch after batch.
01 — The daily rhythm

A little care becomes tomorrow’s kefir.

Milk kefir grains are a living starter culture. With dairy milk and a clean jar, they can be used again and again.

1
Add milk

Place the grains in a clean glass jar and add dairy milk.

2
Cover loosely

Use a breathable cover and leave the jar at room temperature. Do not seal it tightly.

3
Wait 12–24 hours

Let the living culture do its work at about 68–77°F.

4
Strain and repeat

Refrigerate the finished kefir, then move the grains into milk for the next batch.

03 — Before you begin

Simple, honest care notes.

Homemade fermentation is wonderfully hands-on. A few clear rules help protect the culture and make the routine easier.

Keep it comfortable

Never use hot milk or hot water. Keep the jar loosely covered during fermentation.

Know what is normal

Healthy grains are typically creamy white to pale yellow and may smell pleasantly tangy.

Important allergy note

The grains are grown in pasteurized dairy milk. They contain lactose and milk proteins and are not suitable for anyone with a milk allergy.
